Pete Abraham Builders Ltd has been trading for 18 years. I took over my fathers business who was trading for 20 years before me.
We specialise in period & bespoke building work. We have done many projects of period property including a full restoration of the Archway in Newstead Abbey, a full restoration of Atlantico House (art deco property in Chilwell) to include the building of a swimming pool. Two examples amongst many properties restored & extended throughout the Nottinghamshire area.
We work from recomendations or work passed on from my architect Tony Bradley (of Architectural Services – Strelley Village)
We pride ourselves upon the quality of work & believe that the work speaks for itself. If we were working on a property that was built in 1870 then we would source the bricks from that period and build the extension to match the period.
I am a bricklayer by trade, I do all our own brickwork, although I do employ others to do the blockwork.
If a building was originally built in Flemish Bond or Old English Wall Bond we will build it as the original. It is rare we do Half Brick Bond, as the majority of time the properties we work on are of Flemish or Old English Wall Bond. Our perks & bed joints are usually around the 10mm gauge to match existing builds. The majority of materials we use for our projects are reclaimed and sourced throughout the UK depending on what is required.
We take only one project on at a time so we can concentrate our efforts solely.
